Thinking about getting a macbook pro, as I have about had it with Windows Vista, and was wondering if the macbook would be able to connect to the internet already in the house…….Motorola modem and router.

    Of course it can.

Yes, all Macbooks that are currently sold by Apple can connect to a wireless network out of the box. This goes for most current PC laptops being sold today.

Depending on your home network’s security settings, you may have to configure the Macbook before it can make a connection, such as SSID and encryption type, and/or password.

I just got my first MacBook yesterday and it did connect up, but it tries to connect to Ethernet first (there are no wired connections). How can I get it to default to my home wireless network?
