It has bluetooth and USB connectivity for transferring data, files, music, pictures and programs. I have found numerous sites on the Web describing how to delete preloaded apps (including the locked ones) and how to install free games and apps. Samsung has a fairly decent site that gives you the tools you need to develop your own Java apps for the phone too. I specifically got the Impression because it does *not* require a data plan.
