Does the Samsung Omnia have a light sensor that causes the screen to light up when moving it away from face?

The screen can turn off when in a call, you can adjust settings to have the Omnia do whatever you want when in a call. It does also have a light sensor just to the right of the earpiece. That is mainly for adjusting to your environment, if you are in the sun it gets brighter, or in the dark it gets darker to save power. Or you can manually adjust brightness to have it remain a constant brightness in all environments. Also, get the Omnia if comparing to the Dare. It has many more great features, but it is a little more challenging to get used to using. If you are looking for user friendly, get the Dare. If you want a phone that has it all, get the Omnia. I like my Omnia, but its not something my friends can pick up and be able to use very easily. After having the phone for a few days you will be used to it, and it will be natural to use. It is slow to text on though, if you wanting a more text friendly phone, get the HTC touch pro. I send about 5000 texts a month and the Omnia works fine for that, but if you text all the time, look at the HTC phone. Hope I was some help in your phone buying decision.
