Just bought an Acer Aspire one notebook. How do you have your own image on the desktop? As in wallpaper?

If it is the linux version then you need to minimize the welcome screen and then right click, however if it is the XP version then you can just right click on the desktop and go on properties

Also, on XP if you go to my pictures (or where ever you have the image saved) then right click on it you can select set as desktop background

Well first of all you’ve got to make sure you have a pic of yourself on your computer, obviously. Then go Start Control Panel Appearance and Personalization Change desktop background. This will take you straight to all your stored pics and then you just choose the one you want.

you guy. She has an aspire one. Its runing vista the options you are talking about which are availabe on almost every other system do not exsist. Im starting to think there is no option to change the background for the dumb lil laptop. What a piece of poo this is turning out to be

Yeah i have the same netbook and even if you right click and set at background it does not work. Mine has Windows 7 starter but there has to be a way to change it.
