Acer Aspire One
UR MOM SMOKZ CRAK asked:

My Aspire One runs on Linpus Linux Lite v1.0.6.
I have NO clue how to use Lunux and how to get to the download files on a Acer Aspire One.

First thing you need to do is enable right click

go to Files > My Documents to open the File Manager. Then go to File > Terminal.

The Linpus Linus is using Xfce, so type

    xfce-setting-show

to get the Xfce Settings Manager.

Click on Desktop to get to the Desktop Preferencs and choose the Behavior tab.

Now under Menus tick the Show desktop menu on right click option and close the window.

This setting will allow you to bring up the normal desktop menu when you right click somewhere on the desktop. The Desktop Menu contains much more options than the limited user interface on the Aspire One.

Once you have right click enabled it opens up a whole lot of things especially downloads.

Go to aspire one user forums and read through the posts, you will learn a lot there, and I can’t emphasise enough that you should make yourself a recovery USB device for your AAO.
