Seems my Acer Aspire 5515 has suddenly decided that it’s keyboard, and internal mouse no longer work. I called tech support who gave me the driver download. That download didn’t work. any help?

There is normally a ribbon cable that runs from the keyboard to the mainboard. That could have come loose.
Before you do anything else, if you haven’t yet,
    Unplug it.
Flip it over and remove the battery.
Leave battery out for 1 minute. Not 10 seconds, not 20 seconds, a minute.
Replace battery and power it up.
