After the OEM unit broke twice, it was time to be replaced. Both times the OEM cord became disconnected at the end of the cord where it plugs into the back of the laptop, that plug seperates from the cord and you can hold and jiggle it to get it to work again but eventually it will stop working.
This cord has a better plug design that is less prone to separating and abuse, so I think it will have a better chance of holding up over time. Otherwise, I can tell no differences from the OEM unit and this is a way better deal. We’ve used it know for 4-6 months and no issues, no impact on battery life, and no problems. Highly recommended!

AC Adapter pin is more sturdy compared to the one which came with the product. Since the input pin is at 90 degree angle, this would not damage the mother board or would not get damaged by itself, even if the laptop is tilted. The main problem with the factory made was it was straight and we were supposed to maintain proper position while working with the laptop. I would recommend this product as it is more flexible to use and more protective.

I purchased this accessory for my laptop so I didn’t have to unfasten the one that came with it from the cord covers - I use it at home as a desktop almost exclusively and wanted a cord to carry with it for occasional trips. It was delivered more quickly than promised and works beautifully! I’d order from Osprey-Talon again without hesitation.

I have had 2 Toshiba adapters in one year, if you have bought from them you know they are $100. My first one sparked and the second one flat out caught fire. I can’t afford to do that again and needed a replacement. I found the HQRP and was hesitant at first due to the low price. I always thought you get what you pay for, but I decided to try it anyway. I discovered I was wrong thinking that a cheaper price would be a cheaper product. I love this adapter! It fit perfectly with no problem, it is also easy to find your computer type with the way they have it in the description. I received it immediately, the seller contacted me within hours to tell me the order was being processed. It arrived within a couple of days to my surprise and the seller had even included a coupon for 10% off my next purchase–another bonus! Another thing I really like is the shape of the cord where it fits into the laptop, it is an L shape and fits much better on the side than having a cord come straight out. I also have not noticed the adapter getting hot, the toshiba adapters always got hot. I highly recommend this product and this seller!
