There is a way to turn off hibernation. There is a setting that you can give it a specific time to go into hibernation or turn it off altogether. Look under the settings.

Depending on what OS you have you have to go where the power settings are and turn it off, or set the timer to a longer duration. (Windows XP)You can go start, control panel, power settings, at the bottom should be hybernation settings; or you can go; right click on mouse, properties, the window should say display properties, then click on screen saver and go down to power settings, hybernation should be at the bottom. Windows Vista is just worded differently. If you right click pick Personalize, click screen saver, then choose change power settings, then to your left should be an option to change when your computer sleeps which is hybernation. Start , control panel, power option is easier, but remember to chose the option, change when computer sleeps. Also, when your in the control panel there are two views the classic view and the more modern view and it may be different depending what one your on. The idea of hybernation is to power the computer down while you are not using it without having to shut it down and then when you want to go back on the computer you hit any key and the computer comes back on without having to boot back up. I set mine to about an hr it powers off then when i go back everything is the same even when i am in the middle of a game or Internet.
