    Hi Jasmin,

You should go to a Macintosh dealer in your area. A good one, like the Apple store have different Macintosh computers on display and hooked up to the Internet. Customers are free to play around with it and there’s a lot of staff members who would be happy to show you what it can do for you.

Also, you can try to find a friend who owns a MacBook, or walk into a coffee shop and strike up a conversation with anyone who is using a MacBook. Most Mac people are very friendly, and are more than happy to tell you all about their Mac and what they use it for.

Also, consider joining a Macintosh Users Group. A Mac Users Group is an excellent resource that teaches you how to get the most from your MacBook. Go to this web site and type in your postal zip code and it will tell you where the closest Mac Users Group meets in your area.

    Best of luck.

Amazon.com has some great books on the subject:

It even has a For Dummies book which can be a good introduction. I also recommend this book if you’re really new to the Macbook and computers in general:
