If the specs match up then you are in good shape. That way all the connections will be the same and the process should be easy - as far as the physical connections - it fitting properly in the respective space. I am pretty positive you will have to format the hard drive and install the Operating system for the IBM. Since the hard drive was configured to another computer with differents settings / configurations / devices / drivers / processor / etc. You need to check the specs to see if they are compatible.
