Captain Josh asked:
I was looking to purchase an Omnia through Verizon Wireless, but if I’m gonna get 30 dollars in extra charges each month, I don’t think it is truly worth it. So, is there a way to get past these charges?
I do not use internet or email, so it wouldn’t be a problem not using these services.
I spoke with an associate through their chat feature, but I just wanna make sure he’s correct.

No, I already tried. I am looking into buying it too. But as of November 14, 2008 Verizon said that all smartphones are subject to a minimum $30 data plan that has unlimited email and internet. and on top of that you have to pay for texting, it is ridiculous. But no there is no way to get around it I already called Verizon and all that time consuming stuff.
