Is there any way possible to connect a firewire to an IBM Thinkpad T43?

I really want to connect with my Sony handycam so I can edit video. But I don’t see any way to get the video footage to my Thinkpad. I’m really curious whether there are any converters, adapters, etc. out in the market, or any other tricks anyone would be willing to share. I’ll give you huge props if you help me out.

    what cowboy said. Check the IBM website to make sure it’s not some proprietary card. The website for your model thinkpad should have specs on accessories.
