I’m in front of a computer probably 70 hours a week, and as a result, I take ergonomics seriously. I don’t want to go home feeling weird hand/wrist/arm pains. And if you’re in front of a computer for that amount of time, then you want to make your time efficient as possible so you can live the rest of your life.

What I liked: The shape. I’ve been using a Microsoft ergonomic mouse and compared to the MX1100, it’s rubbish. The MX1100 feels like it belongs in my hands and even fits my oversized paws. Plus there are a lot of buttons so I can customize actions on the mouse. I’m slowly digging into that feature, but I love it.

What I didn’t like: The battery life is not that great (I’ve read that the battery life is awesome, so perhaps it was just the batteries that came with it that sucked), and the scroll wheel is a little too sensitive by default. A quick flick of the finger would send pages flying by. The Logitech software made that a quick fix.

I’m also not a big fan of laser mice. The receiver is the size of a USB drive, which makes this not great to travel with because it just doesn’t fit well with the whole small notebook thing. I wish it was Bluetooth.

It’s a tossup to find the Cadillac of mice from Logitech - it’s either the MX 1100 or the MX Revolution. I know that the price tag is tough for some people to swallow, but if you spend untold hours in front of a computer, it’s worth it.

I have used Logitech mice for years with excellent results. This piece of garbage should never have been placed on the market. It has sudden lags for which there is no explanation except it is a bad piece of hardware. It is definitely not a software or surface problem since I used it on different surfaces and with and without the Logitech software. Unfortunately it is not a bargain at any price.

The old Logitech Revolution MX has a nice thumb rest at the bottom–really a necessity with a big, heavy mouse. This model has a nasty sharp edge instead and, to add insult to injury, three raised dots just above that (presumably to warn you that you are about to do damage to your thumb if it drops further). What were they thinking???

It doesn’t bother everyone, as you can tell from the positive reviews, but more than one reviewer really hated it. Don’t buy until you tried it out in a store.

I was really looking forward to enjoying the Logitech MX 1100 Cordless Laser Mouse. Anything that reduces the number of wires on my desk has an immediate advantage over what I am currently using, which is also a Logitech mouse, but with a conventional USB connection.

But, alas, I was not happy with the cordless mouse despite the wire reduction. It did not feel as precise as my conventional mouse. Also, it moved around in a way that was not only too fast, but also a little erratic. It was, frankly, difficult to use when doing precise graphical database work.

I bought two of these when they were on for $20 each from Amazon.

It is a piece of junk. Loses connection every 30 seconds and it had a 2 second delay. No wonder it was on sale. This ain’t a might mouse. AVOID!
