I need to install the driver for a 3com mini PCI ethernet adaptor, I tried downloading it on my other computer and transferred it to my IMB thinkpad, but it still won’t connect to the net. How do I get the driver disc or program. I have a version of windows 2000 that can’t be upgraded, what do I do? The driver programs I get are openable by xp but not openable by my 2000.

Get the exact model of the modem. IBM might not have the driver, but I bet another manufacturer has it.

If the IBM site says in the specs XX V.90 modem search
for that modem chip mfg. Odds are they have it.

Example: An asus motherboard with a silicon image sata onboard, but no 2k driver on the site. Go to the CHIP maker site, and get the driver.

    Good luck.
