PNY GeForce GT 220 1024 MB PCI-Express 2.0 DVI with HDMI and VGA Graphics Card VCGGT2201XEB

The card is ok for pc work, but Nvidia and PNY cannot get the 3D portion of the stereoscopic settings to work. My previous Nvidia GT8500 works perfectly in the 3D settings.

Honestly I’m a little disappointed with this card. I expected this card will give a big improvement compare to my old Asus 8500 GT 512MB, but it is not. For example, when I play Red Alert 3 Uprising, my graphic quality is low with my old Asus 8500 GT 512MB. Installed this card, If I set to high, the game will be slow. The difference between this card and 8500 GT is from low to medium. However, for different game, is give different result. For example, Dirt 2, I can setup the graphic quality to the topest and still play smoothly and not slow at all. My suggestion, if you have money, but 9800 GT and you will see a big difference. If you are kind of tight with the money, go 9500 GT, it will be the same as this card with $10 cheaper. It is just my opinion.

So far seems to operate as advertised. Installed in a Dell Studio 540 under Windows 7. I did have to bend the plate on the back of computer, slightly, to accomidate the use of the HDMI plug. The computer seems a lot faster by not using the intergrated motherboard graphics. Went from 3.0 to 5.1 under windows user expierance index. I can’t speak for gaming but HD video is GREAT! No power supply issues.

The gig of memory is great. Everything loads faster and plays better than my last card. I have an older 64-bit desktop that only has a 300W power supply, so this card is about the only Nvidia upgrade option for my system. I haven’t plugged anything into the HDMI port yet so I can’t comment on that. According to SpeedFan it’s running about 30 degrees cooler than my last Nvidia card and it’s a lot quieter. It works with Windows 7 and the price was cheap so I can’t really complain about it.
