I'm buying an MSI because it has more harddrive space than any other sub-notebook in its class (currently). I'm getting it because i already have a main computer and just need something that is ultra light and compact to carry around. Is that also what you need? those mini laptops from acer and msi (called One and Wind) are not meant to be desktop or full laptop replacements.

I have been buying Acer for 15 years as a cost alternative to some of the other laptops. In some cases you can buy 2 for the price of 1 of the others. They have been reliable. Acer is a multi-billion dollar company and makes parts for many other computer companies as well as making their own product line. Chances are the HP or Dell has something inside of it that may have come from Acer.

Good luck.

You get what you pay for, A laptop is not something you should cut cost with. If I was you I'd save up, or finance a Mac book pro. They're awesome, but if you want to get something cheap and unreliable go with the Acer.
