Purchase Netpc on 8/12/09 and Toshiba refuse to upgrade me to Windows 7- because it came with Windows XP preinstalled! Now they are selling them with Windows 7 preinstalled go figure.

If your like me just trying to get a smaller computer this is not it. The scrolling up and down to see a page was impossible. Window 7 STARTER is basically useless. The computer comes with nothing on it. Besides being pretty it was a big disappiontment.

I bought this computer two days and I have not been able to access the web via my wireless connection yet. My internet is working fine on all of my other computers on my the network. The weird thing is that, I can only access google.com and nothing else. And the netbook claims that it is receiving my internet at a 100% ( all five bars of the wireless indicator are lit up). Even weirder, when I went to return it, there was another customer in line with the EXACT same problem. She could only access google.com and nothing else. FIVE hours on the phone with tech support did not solve anything. So if you buy this computer it may not work with you router, which pretty much makes this netbook useless and defeats that purpose of getting netbook. A netbook is supposed to be portable and if I have to worry about whether this or that router is compatible with it, than this netbook is not portable.

I bought this netbook to run one application which according to the specs it should have been able to do but it failed miserably at it. While I tend to think that it’s windows 7 rather than the netbook itself, it ended up being worthless to me and I returned it. Amazon then kept $50 of what I paid on the return without specifiying why. So if you need an underpowered computer, even for a netbook, back but a company that I won’t do business with anymore, amazon, then this is a machine for you.

I really really wanted to love this machine. And a lot about it is very appealing - but it has one fatal flaw, at least the one I received does. When I typed, the cursor jumped up a line or two. Maybe I was brushing the touchpad or something - or maybe not. Either way, I was trying as hard as I could not to do that and the cursor still jumped. I’m a writer, I type 8 hours a day and this was impossible. And then when I searched for the problem on line I saw mention of it with this model. Too bad because it’s cute and it’s appealing and it’s a real disappointment.
