Well despite the ‘universal’ description, it clearly isn’t. ASUS is listed specifically in the list of products, but this doesn’t fit an ASUS Eee PC 1005HA. I’ve kept it as a backup charger for an HP laptop, but the original intended use was not possible.

I puchased this through BetterStuff-LowerPrice who have been great on customerservice by providing me with the help to purchase the correct charger. This charger is awesome, can’t beat the price!

I have an older Toshiba Satellite MX35 and my notebook charger fried. Went looking in the stores and found one for $107 at Radio Shack. Not only was that one ridiculously expensive, but the adapter kept falling out of my laptop. Got this and it has worked just fine for for the last 2 months. My only issue with it is that it could be a little longer in the I have to use an extension cord with it at times.

Well one thing I will say about this ac adapter is the price is very reasonable. The one issue I had with it was the tips aren’t very durable. They are easily bendable and I wish I had known this before I purchased this item. I’ve only had this for a few days and already I’ve had problem with the tips bending easily. Just my personal experience though.

This item is works really well for my Gateway laptop.

The only minor niggle is that plugging the corresponding adapter plug into the universal connector means there is an extra long fixed plug coming out of the back of my laptop when it is plugged in. Just have to be careful in situations where there is something behind where my laptop is set up.
