Go into your Device Manager and as long as there are no "!"'s then you shouldn't need any other drivers.

When you install any Windows operating systems you have to keep in mind that the drivers installed by Windows are not all manufacturer drivers. Most drivers are from Microsoft and don't work as efficient as a manufacturer version.

Your motherboard has chips that need drivers. It is best to go to the motherboard's manufacturer web site and get the drivers from them. The mobo's web site should have the drivers for all the components on the board including the integrated sound card, integrated video card . If you have any adaptor cards then go to their manufactures web site and get the drivers there. Your monitor will also need a driver from it's manufacturer's web site as the printer and all othe devices attached to your computer.

Basically when windows vista is finished installing you just replace all
the drivers it installed with the ones offered by your devices manufacturer.

I would recommend that you get all theses drivers before you install Vista and copy them on a disk. Remember to download drivers from the manufacturer that are compatible with vista . As for the wireless internet you need to find the driver (vista) for the wi-fi before you install windows vista and have it ready after the installation.

Operating Systems don't install drivers for all the components or devices . It's the user's responsibility to get them after installing Windows.

You should never depend on Microsoft Windows for drivers unless the manufacturers recommend getting the drivers from Microsoft. Always
get the drivers from the manufacturer's web site and you will have a system that is working as it should with all the features that's included in the drivers.

I would dare say that they would have more problems than just the wireless... for one thing, the acer aspire one (which I have one of my own) does not have resources enough to run Vista reliably, system requirements for Vista are a MINIMUM of 2GB ram and the one maxes out at only 1.5GB. The unreliability of Vista running with the choked 1.5GB would be nerve wracking at best. I have a dual boot with Ubuntu netbook remix 9.04 and love it...its even much faster than XP, and no need for the anti-virus either, which is a major help freeing up system resources. UNR works 100% with the aspire one, straight out of the box.
