Favre Fan asked:

I don’t know much about gps systems, but I am curious to which ones are the best values and best in general because I am interested in purchasing one. So far the one I have been seeing for the best deal is the TomTom XL 340-S with a 4.3 inch screen

Those cheap GPS’s that are being sold everywhere are not enough if you want to get accurate maps, turn by turn spoken directions, speed camera (speedcam), bluetooth, and more. GPS Navigation Portable Multimedia Unit IGO AMIGO is the best gps system, it has a simple control - simply touch the color screen to enter a destination, has a turn-by-turn voice directions, 2-D or 3-D maps and more feature like games, notes, music player to play your MP3, watch movie on it, read your flash file on it, etc.

It is considered a higher model GPS for all it can do. It does more than the suggested Garmin model: 255W, 265WT, 760 or the higher models 765T, 775T.

The GPS Navigation Portable Multimedia Unit IGO AMIGO has text-to-speech (you get turn by turn spoken directions with the real names of streets (e.g. “turn left in 50 feet at Nebraska Way”, rather than merely “turn left in 50 feet”)), it has a BIG 5.0 ich diagonal touch screen color display not like the small 4.3-Inch on most other GPS’s like Garmin.

For the features it has, the price is the best I have found and it works like a charm: has text-to-speech, 5.0-inch diagonal color touchscreen, bluetooth, preloaded Maps with Navteq data of North America + Hawaii + Puerto Rico, etc.

I’ve had mine for a while and love it. Check it out here for yourself:
