    It depends on what type of RAM they have and support.
    It should work, and it won’t affect battery life.

    The Aspire uses DDR2-533 SODIMMs
    The Presario 2100 uses DDR PC2100 SODIMMs

    So the answer is no, there is no way to make the Acer RAM compatible with the Compaq.

    Yes. If the type of RAM is same as PRESARIO uses. Take out both RAM from ASPIRE COMPAQ if they match from the bottom I am sure they would work.

    No. It doesn’t effect you battery in any way unless the RAM has some problem. Like short circuit or something even then I dont think it effect the battery but then it might effect the motherboard.

    Also you would get a one time message stating that the system memory has been changed.
